Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. In-Office Appointments

• Cancellations 2+ hours before: No charge
• Cancellations less than 2 hours before: $25 fee
• No-shows: $25 fee

2. Evening & Overnight Appointment Fees

An evening appointment fee of $30 applies to appointments scheduled from 6:00 PM to 9:59 PM (Dallas time), and an overnight appointment fee of $50 applies to appointments scheduled from 10:00 PM to 7:59 AM (Dallas time), regardless of service type. Appointment required. Only one of these two fees applies to an appointment. Invoiced in advance. Non-refundable except when UNSC fails to appear or cancels.

3. Mobile Concierge Appointments

• Cancellations 2+ hours before departure: Travel fee refunded in full
• Cancellations less than 2 hours before departure (notary not yet departed): $25 fee; travel fee refunded
• Cancellations after notary has begun the route: Full travel fee forfeited — no refund
• Change of date/time after notary is en route: Full travel fee forfeited; new fee required to reschedule
• No-show at the appointment location: Full travel fee + $25 no-show fee
• UNSC no-show or notary error: Full refund

Priority Scheduling / Urgent–Rush Fee & Wait-Time Fee (all appointment types)

• Priority Scheduling / Urgent–Rush Fee: $15 per appointment. Optional service for same-day, short-notice or priority requests — disclosed before booking and itemized separately from notarial fees; standard scheduling remains available without it. “Priority scheduling” and “rush” are the same fee and are never charged twice. When selected, it may be added on top of an evening or overnight fee. Non-refundable once the appointment is confirmed.
• Wait-time fee: after a 10-minute grace period past the scheduled appointment time, $15 per 15 minutes (or any part of 15 minutes) while the notary waits for signers, documents, or identification to be ready.
• If waiting would delay a later appointment, the notary may end the appointment and the cancellation terms above apply.

4. Remote Online Notarization (RON)

• Cancellations 1+ hour before: No charge
• Cancellations less than 1 hour before: $15 fee
• Technology failure on client side after session begins: $15 reconnect fee

5. Refunds

Refunds for services already rendered are not provided except in cases of verifiable notary error. Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the service date.

6. Rescheduling

One complimentary reschedule is permitted per appointment with at least 2 hours' notice before the notary departs. Subsequent rescheduling requests may incur a $15 fee. If rescheduling is requested after the notary has departed, a new travel fee will apply.

7. Force Majeure

UNSC will not be liable for cancellations caused by severe weather, natural disasters, power outages, or medical emergencies. UNSC will reschedule at no additional charge in such cases.
