Cancellation & Refund Policy
1. In-Office Appointments
- Cancellations 2+ hours before: No charge
- Cancellations less than 2 hours before: $25 fee
- No-shows: $25 fee
2. Late-Night Booking Fee (8:00 PM – 7:59 AM)
A $30 late-night booking fee applies to all appointments scheduled between 8:00 PM and 7:59 AM regardless of service type. Invoiced in advance. Non-refundable except when UNSC fails to appear or cancels.
3. Mobile Concierge Appointments
The travel fee must be paid before the appointment is confirmed and is non-refundable once the notary is en route.
- Cancellations 2+ hours before departure: Travel fee refunded in full
- Cancellations less than 2 hours before departure (notary not yet departed): $25 fee; travel fee refunded
- Cancellations after notary has begun the route: Full travel fee forfeited — no refund
- Change of date/time after notary is en route: Full travel fee forfeited; new fee required to reschedule
- No-show at the appointment location: Full travel fee + $25 no-show fee
- UNSC no-show or notary error: Full refund
4. Remote Online Notarization (RON)
- Cancellations 1+ hour before: No charge
- Cancellations less than 1 hour before: $15 fee
- Technology failure on client side after session begins: $15 reconnect fee
5. Refunds
Refunds for services already rendered are not provided except in cases of verifiable notary error. Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the service date.
6. Rescheduling
One complimentary reschedule is permitted per appointment with at least 2 hours' notice before the notary departs. Subsequent rescheduling requests may incur a $15 fee. If rescheduling is requested after the notary has departed, a new travel fee will apply.
7. Force Majeure
UNSC will not be liable for cancellations caused by severe weather, natural disasters, power outages, or medical emergencies. UNSC will reschedule at no additional charge in such cases.
